PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
Smell of Gas Shut off gas cylinder at once Do not use this appliance until leak is sealed
Leak detected at cylinder, regulator or other connection

1. Regulator fitting loose

2. O-Ring racked or damaged

3. Dirt/Debris in threads

4. Threads damaged or cross threaded

5. Gas leak in hose/regulator
or control valve

1. Tighten fitting and “Leak Test”

2. Replace O-Ring. Consult authorised Service Centre

Burner will not light 1. Out of Gas

2. Burner orifice blocked


3. Hose is twisted

1. Refill Gas Cylinder

2. Clean burner. Clean orifice with a pin or fine wire. Do not attempt to drill orifice.

3. Straighten hose

4. Tighten fitting and “Leak Test”

5. Consult authorised Service Centre

Decreasing Heat “popping sound” 1. Out of Gas

2. Burner blocked

1. Refill Gas Cylinder

2. Clean burner

“Flare ups” or grease fires 1. Excessive grease build up on burner

2. Excessive heat

2. Turn burner controls to a lower setting

Humming noise from regulator 1. Cylinder valve turned on too quickly
1. Turn cylinder valve on slowly
Yellow Flame 1. Some yellow flame is
normal. If it becomes
excessive the burner ports may be blocked
1. Clean burner
Window appears discoloured 1. This is a build up of grease, not faulty material
1. Clean with detergent
